Tren de la Fresa: a historic train journey from Madrid to Aranjuez

Enjoy a trip that combines culture, history and local flavour as you travel in beautifully preserved wooden carriages along a railway line built in 1851!

Inaugurated in 1984, the Tren de la Fresa has become one of the most distinctive tourist experiences in Madrid, attracting thousands of visitors each year to explore Aranjuez, a town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known for its Royal Palace and gardens, as well as its strawberries, which have given this train its name.

The train departs from the Museo del Ferrocarril, which has an extensive collection of locomotives and passenger carriages, and is located in the historic Delicias station.
